The Jason Smith approach is very simple and efficient. First, we would schedule a consultation where the client can tell me what happened, and I can answer any questions and go over what their goals are.
If they decide to hire me, the first thing we would do is have to wait for the arraignment so we can see if the state has filed a case against them and what evidence the state has against them. After the arraignment, I will go over the evidence with them and discuss their options.
After the arraignment, we will make the necessary motions to the court and test the strength of the state’s case. Sometimes charges will be dropped or changed, or the state may dismiss the case entirely.
If the case needs to go to trial, we can take the case to trial and our client will have their day in court and have it decided by a jury of twelve.
